There are few things in life I love more than a good theme. Peyton Manning is one of them. Cupcakes are another. But, pretty high on the list is a good theme. Even if the colors are weird.
This weekend was, of course, Saint Patrick’s Day. I like to drag out holidays as long as possible, so I’d been wearing green for days. But, on Saturday, I decided to embrace my Protestant Irish heritage and add the orange as well. Green and orange is not a color combo I would normally advocate, but I allowed it since it was festive.
I’m not too proud to admit that I wore the same jeans two days in a row. In this picture, you can see the color a little better, although neither capture the not-quite-kelly-green perfectly. I’ve been in a flats mood lately, which, if you know me at all, you know is really weird. But, the weekend calls for comfort (sometimes), and so I embraced it with one of my favorite pairs of shoes – some moccasins I bought at Bakers at least 7 years ago. It will be a sad day when I have to say goodbye to those babies (I fear the time is drawing close).
I hope you all enjoyed this most green of holidays and celebrated in style. On Sunday, we were all a little Irish.

Green and orange? Thank God it was part of a “theme;” otherwise, there’d be no forgiveness! 🙂
