I’m a little obsessed with this scarf. I didn’t actually wear it two days in a row, but I have worn it at least three times in the past two weeks, so I’d say I’m getting my mother’s money’s worth.
The lighting in this picture is very poor (don’t worry, I’ve since replaced the bulb in my bedroom ceiling light), but the colors are pretty true to what I wore. Both the yellow in my skirt and the pink of the scarf are a more dusty shade of their crayon-color counterparts, so they blended well together, even if they were an unexpected combination. I chose to mute the outfit by adding cream and brown accents, and I loved how well my bracelet tied everything together. The necklace was a gift a friend in high school bought me in Italy, so any chance to wear it is a nice reminder of her.
I’m not super creative or talented when it comes to tying scarves, but I do like the look of an infinity scarf. As you saw yesterday, this scarf is not one. To fake it, I tied two of the ends together and wrapped it around my neck twice. You still have to do a little strategic tucking to completely simulate the look, but it works pretty well.
Have a great weekend, everyone! Here’s hoping summer will be here soon and these cardigans can go the way of Frosty.
