Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! On this day, I’m grateful for fashion. That’s obvious, of course, and maybe seems trite. But, I really am grateful for the joy that the only art expression I have brings me. Creativity is a gift, and I like the way mine manifests. However, I am also grateful for the creativity of those of you who are photographers, painters, musicians, actors, writers, graphic designers, make-up artists, and so many many more wonderful things. I believe every person is creative in one way or another, and that’s what makes life beautiful and fun.
Having said that, I am growing a little discontent with my sweater collection. I’ve had this one for probably 7 years, and while I once loved it, I do think it has seen its better days. Sadly, so have most of my sweaters. I guess I know what I’m asking for for Christmas.
I love the warmth of Thanksgiving – from the coziness of the weather, to the abundance of hot food, to the fuzzies that come from being with those you love and gearing up for the Christmas season. I tried to reflect that in my clothes.
I hope you all have a truly blessed time with your family and friends, and remember to be kind to yourself and grateful for who you are as a creative person.
