3 days into 2014, and I’m already the worst fashion blogger of the year! I started a new job yesterday and completely forgot to record my outfit. Alright, I guess I didn’t completely forget – I was running late (per ush), so I thought I’d take pictures after work. And then I forgot.
So, this is an outfit from a couple days ago – just running errands.
I’m still figuring out the lighting in my new place, so please forgive the poor color quality. The sweater is a soft almost-turquoise; my jeans’ color is about right.
This outfit is a combination of some very new items and some of the oldest things in my closet. The pretty infinity scarf was a gift from my mother for Christmas. When I was in NYC last December, everyone was bundled up in these warm knit scarves (many even chunkier than this one). In typical fashion for my family, though, it took us a year to catch on. Better late then never.
The gold cuff was also a Christmas gift, and I love it. I feel very sophisticated wearing cuffs, even if they are from Rue 21. However, I’ve had those boots since college. The tops look a little dated, but under my jeans, no one would really notice. Likewise, I bought this sweater on my very first grad-school shopping trip (I have no idea why I remember that). So, it’s been with me through thick and thin, also (quite literally, I might add).
Have a good weekend, everyone!
