I have this theory that the simplest way to meet men was to wear a sports team shirt. Seriously, it’s the best conversation starter, and even if you hate sports, you can easily take advantage of the opportunity.
Guy: “Hey, nice shirt – go Colts!”
Girl: “Yeah! Are you from Indiana?”
One question, and you’re already off the topic of sports (if you want to be). I’m convinced its fool-proof.
But now, I have an additional theory: men love headbands.
I don’t know what it is about that simple piece of elastic, but whenever I wear a headband across my forehead – flower-child style – I get lots of compliments from men. So, it’s my new go-to look, obvs.
I’m really much more into the headband in this look than my sandals, so no individual picture of my shoes today. To be honest, I don’t like them that much, but they were $5 and are functional, so I wear them.
There is one negative about wearing headbands on your forehead – if if you try to go the whole day wearing a tight one, you might end up looking like this:
I’m pretty sure that groove is permanent.
I don’t have a whole lot more to say about this outfit itself, but I do have a few disclaimers, so I’ll go ahead and make those.
1) I know my pedicure is a little weird. I got it in anticipation of my favorite holiday, and on Friday, my toes will look awesome. Until then, they clash with everything.
2) I’m working on this tripod thing. I think I’ve figured out a pretty good position for the camera (assuming you all are okay with my stone wall back-drop), but I need to work on the posing part so I look a little less awkward. Still, I feel like this is progress.
3) I am in love with PicMonkey. As you can see by the filter I chose above (which turned my clear pictures into a lovely shade of blurry), I have no idea what I’m doing. But, it’s free, and I’m learning – very, very slowly.
Fashion Tip of the Day: Don’t wear your headbands too tight. I feel like this one was obvious.
