Happy Wednesday, everyone!
I was out of town for work last week, and while I was in the happiest place on earth (Nashville, obvs), I didn’t have much time for blogging. So, now for a little catch up.
This September Instagram style challenge is wrapping up, and I think I’ll take a break next month. I enjoy the challenge, but I get a little self-conscious about annoying my followers (aka real life friends) with too many #ootd posts. So, maybe in November I’ll try again.
In the mean time, here are two outfits (even though it’s Wednesday), neither of which are actually for today’s prompt, but both of which I like and need to blog before you all get cold just looking at my exposed feet in wedges.
In this first outfit, I pulled the mint out of the scarf and paired it with a bolder shade for a more monochromatic look. Greens are easy to match – they seldom clash with each other. Gold accessories (and my hair in a headband because I was doing something fun that night which required curly hair), and I was ready to go!
In picture 2, I pulled the blue out of the skirt (I love pulling colors out of things, as you can tell). Really, though, I enjoy buying pieces with lots of colors in them so I can mix and match to my heart’s content. The scarf is a regular rectangle tied at both ends to make an infinity.
Which of these two now out-of-season looks do you like better? Do you miss your summer clothes yet, or are you embracing fall (I’m finally about there)? How about mixing and matching – do you emphasize different colors in patterned pieces, or do you tend to stay with tried-and-true combinations? Let’s talk – it’s been too long!
