I’ve been into this whole “not-washing-your-hair-too-often”, thing. They say it’s better for your hair (not sure why, but “they” say it, which is good enough for me), and I think it probably helps my color last a little longer. Also, hashtag lazy.
But, now and then I stretch it a little too long… even the headband isn’t helping hide my poor decisions today. Oh well.
I can’t tell you what prompted this outfit inspiration, except to say that the dress isn’t work appropriate without a sweater (too much shoulder), so I went trolling my closet for something that wouldn’t look frumpy, and I kinda love the long-cardigan-over-a-dress look. I don’t think I’ve ever tried it before, but this one is a winner!
How do you style long sweaters, or are you not into that trend? What do you think of them over the dress? I’m really into it, but also open to differing opinions. Let’s talk sweaters in summer!

I LOVE IT! Obviously, the belt polishes it right up! I would be too prone to NOT belt and look frumpy (since the belt would accentuate my too-curvy hips at the moment)

I think belts are all about positioning and belt width, Kelly! And IF your hips are curvier than you’d like right now, I’m sure it’s just all those amazing restaurants you keep teasing us with in your adventures!

In my experience, the longer you go between washes, the longer you can afford to go between washes! When you’re not frequently stripping the natural oils out of your hair, your scalp won’t have to overcompensate and will eventually adjust to producing less oil. I only wash my hair a couple times a week in summer and about once a week in winter. But dry shampoo is your friend if you work out a lot! Hairspray also helps in a pinch (something having to do with the alcohol drying up the oil).

I think you’re right, Kahryn! I can usually do 3 days, depending on how I’d styled it/which products I’d used previously. It’s when I try day 4 that I end up regretting it. And I can’t get dry shampoo to work for me, sadly. It only worsens the problem.
