Summer Dayz

Sadly, my days of wearing outfits like the one below are numbered. I can feel the change in the weather encroaching. The South allows us, fortunately, to take liberties with our wardrobes and stretch that summer out a little further. But, since trendy Nashvillians wear boots year-round, I may have to break out the fall color palette sooner than later.

Don’t worry, though. I’ll still wear the floral shirt. I’ll just pair it with black jeans or something. I just bought some of those (Old Navy’s 40% off everything sale gets me every single time!), so I’m excited to see how I can make some of my spring/summer clothes stretch a little further.
1 - floral, turquoise shoesHas fall come where you are yet, or are you still dragging out summer – in spirit, if not in weather?

  1. I heard someone say “dress for the season, not the weather” but in Norfolk, I just can’t do it! I can’t walk around in jeans when it’s still in 80 in October. I definitely stretch my summer wardrobe, especially since I walk to work (otherwise I’d be a sweaty mess when I got to the office!)

Although, if I had things my way, fall would be here already and I’d be in leggings, boots and my favorite sweater/kimono… and I’d be sipping a pumpkin spice latte because I’m THAT girl. 😉

I completely agree, Christen – dressing for the weather is way more practical! But, I have a hard time fighting that pumpkin spice-appropriate wardrobe. It just beckons!!
