When I was in Boston – aka God’s country, aka the most perfect place on earth, aka home of the World Champion Boston Red Sox – a couple weeks ago, I had some time to kill so I went shopping.  I know you’re all shocked.

I headed up to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall – in part because it was close to my hotel and in other part because I know how to get around that area (follow the red line!) – and stumbled upon a little shop called the Stone Flower.  I rarely find much in boutiques because they are usually overpriced.  This one was much more moderate than most, and when I saw this pretty purple skirt, I just couldn’t resist.

The picture in no way does the skirt justice – it’s a bold, royal purple of taffeta-ish material.  It’s a great party skirt that I plan to wear every day.

I should have also taken better pictures of the blouse, which has little silver rhinestones on the sleeve cuffs and shoulders.  The shiny skirt, combined with the rhinestone top, combined with my headband, bracelet, and cap-toed shoes meant I was a hot mess of sparkles.  Just the way I like it.
